Here is an honest truth about the SAT that few students hear early enough. Most students do not lose out because they are not capable. They lose out because they did not plan the simple things in time, when the test is, when registration closes, and whether their preferred centre still has a seat. In Singapore, where you are already balancing the SAT with JC, IB, or IGCSE work, that planning matters even more. So before you open a single prep book, let us make it easy. This guide gives you the full calendar of SAT test dates in Singapore for 2026-27, every registration deadline, the fees, and the centres across the island.
Singapore follows the same international testing calendar set by the College Board, so you sit the exam on exactly the same days as students everywhere else in the world. The College Board has confirmed eight SAT test dates for the 2026-27 cycle.
| Test Date | Day | Testing Year |
|---|---|---|
| August 22, 2026 | Saturday | Fall 2026 |
| September 12, 2026 | Saturday | Fall 2026 |
| October 3, 2026 | Saturday | Fall 2026 |
| November 7, 2026 | Saturday | Fall 2026 |
| December 5, 2026 | Saturday | Fall 2026 |
| March 6, 2027 | Saturday | Spring 2027 |
| May 1, 2027 | Saturday | Spring 2027 |
| June 5, 2027 | Saturday | Spring 2027 |
Two quick things to note. The SAT is always held on a Saturday, and there is no January or February sitting, so the gap between December and March is the longest break in the calendar. Registration for the Fall 2026 dates is already open.
Every test date has a regular registration deadline about three weeks earlier, followed by a short late registration window that costs extra.
| Test Date | Regular Registration Deadline | Late Registration / Changes Deadline |
|---|---|---|
| August 22, 2026 | August 7, 2026 | August 11, 2026 |
| September 12, 2026 | August 28, 2026 | September 1, 2026 |
| October 3, 2026 | September 18, 2026 | September 22, 2026 |
| November 7, 2026 | October 23, 2026 | October 27, 2026 |
| December 5, 2026 | November 20, 2026 | November 24, 2026 |
| March 6, 2027 | February 19, 2027 | February 23, 2027 |
| May 1, 2027 | April 16, 2027 | April 20, 2027 |
| June 5, 2027 | May 21, 2027 | May 25, 2027 |
These dates are listed on the official College Board dates and deadlines page. Deadlines can change, so confirm the live details before registering.
Now the detail that quietly catches Singapore students out. All College Board deadlines close at 11:59 PM US Eastern Time, which means they expire during the day here in Singapore, not at midnight. Depending on US daylight saving, that works out to around lunchtime in Singapore on the day after the listed deadline. Do not gamble on those few hours. Treat the Singapore afternoon after the deadline as already closed, and register several days early.
The fee is charged in US dollars and has a few parts, and the full SAT Singapore registration process explains where each one applies. Here is the clear breakdown.
| Fee Component | Amount (USD) |
|---|---|
| Base registration fee | 68 |
| International fee | 43 |
| Basic total | 111 |
| Test centre fee (select centres only) | 24 |
| Late registration (if applicable) | 38 |
So the basic fee for a Singapore student is US $111. Some centres add a US $24 test-centre fee, which the College Board lists during registration. You pay by international credit card or PayPal in US dollars, so the amount in Singapore dollars depends on the exchange rate on the day you pay.
The SAT in Singapore is held at College Board authorised centres, most of which are international schools, along with a few education institutes. Our full guide to SAT test centres in Singapore covers each venue in detail. Commonly used centres include:
Stamford American International School
XCL World Academy
Canadian International School
Global Indian International School
NPS International School
International Community School
Elmwood International
Institutes such as MDIS
One important caveat. Centre availability changes with every test date, so a centre open for one date may be full or unavailable for another. Always confirm the live list in your College Board account while registering, and remember that some centres charge the extra US $24 fee. Popular centres fill quickly around application season, so registering early is the surest way to get a seat close to home.
Registration is done online through your College Board account, and it is simple if you keep your documents ready.
Create a College Board account, entering your name exactly as it appears on your passport or NRIC.
Complete your student profile with your school and academic details.
Choose your test date from the 2026-27 calendar.
Search live centre availability in Singapore and select one with open seats.
Upload a clear, recent photograph that meets the requirements.
Pay the fee using an international credit card or PayPal.
Complete the Bluebook exam setup on your device before test day.
Download and save your admission ticket.
A tip specific to Singapore students paying from a local card: make sure international transactions are enabled before you begin, because a failed payment does not hold your seat, and popular centres can be gone by the time you retry.
The right date depends on your application timeline and where you are in school.
If you are applying to US universities this cycle. For Early Decision and Early Action deadlines that usually fall in October and November 2026, the August 22 and September 12 dates are safest, since your scores arrive with time to spare. October 3 is the last comfortable option for most early deadlines. For Regular Decision deadlines around January 2027, the October 3 and November 7 dates work well.
If you are earlier in JC or IB. The March 6, May 1, and June 5, 2027 dates make an excellent first attempt. Testing early gives you a real score to learn from and leaves room for a retake without deadline pressure.
It also helps to understand whether the SAT is required for your qualification. NUS sets standardised-test requirements by applicant qualification: for example, SAT is not required for applicants presenting Indian Standard 12 (CBSE/ISC), while it is required for some other high-school qualifications. At NTU, a SAT score of at least 1250 is listed as one way to meet the English-language requirement for specified applicant groups; it is not a general admission cut-off for all international applicants. Always check the requirement for your own qualification before planning around an SAT target.

This is the part that matters most for students here, and it rarely gets mentioned. Your SAT date has to sit sensibly beside your school workload.
The May and June 2027 dates can land close to IB, A-Level, and JC promotional or final examinations, which makes preparing seriously for both at once genuinely hard. The August to October window usually falls in a more manageable stretch of the school year for many students.
The rule is simple. Choose the date where your preparation decides your score, not your school calendar. Sitting the SAT when you are rested and ready will always beat sitting it on a date that clashes with your busiest exam weeks.
A little preparation the night before removes most test-day stress. Make sure you have:
A valid passport or NRIC that matches your registered name exactly.
Your printed or saved admission ticket.
A fully charged laptop or tablet, ideally above 90 percent battery, with the latest Bluebook app installed and a SAT practice test in Singapore attempted a day or two earlier.
A plan to arrive early, usually by around 7:30 to 8:00 a.m., since there is no late entry once doors close.
If you need to borrow a testing device from the College Board, request it at least 30 days before your test date, as it has to be shipped to you in time.
Most weekend SAT scores are released two to four weeks after test day, according to the College Board. Allow additional time for a university to receive and process an official score report.
Use this when you plan. Work backwards from your university deadline, allow up to four weeks for your score to arrive, and leave a buffer in case you decide to retake. Booking a date without doing this simple maths is the most common reason students feel rushed at the end.
Booking the date is the easy part. What decides your score is the steady preparation that follows, and having a fixed date on the calendar actually makes that easier, because you finally have a clear target to work towards.
This is where Masterclass Space supports you. Its SAT live sessions with expert tutors build your concepts and strategy for both sections, while its full length digital SAT mock tests help you practise under real timed conditions so nothing on test day feels unfamiliar. To sum up the SAT test dates in Singapore for 2026-27: eight Saturdays between August 2026 and June 2027, with regular deadlines closing about three weeks before each date on US Eastern Time, a basic fee of US $111 plus a possible US $24 centre fee, and centres at international schools across the island.
Planning your date early is the first confident step of a journey you are fully ready for. Give yourself enough preparation time, avoid clashing with your school exams, register early to secure a centre near you, and then focus on steady practice. You have already put real effort into this, and with the right date and a clear plan, you can walk into that exam hall calm, prepared, and confident.

The next scheduled test date in the 2026-27 cycle is August 22, 2026, although its registration deadlines have passed. The dates that follow are September 12, October 3, November 7, and December 5, 2026. Check current seat availability in your College Board account.
The SAT is scheduled eight times across the 2026-27 cycle, with five dates in 2026 and three in 2027. The scheduled dates fall on Saturdays.
The basic fee is US$111, consisting of the US$68 registration fee and US$43 international fee. Selected centres may add a US$24 test-centre fee, while late registration costs US$38.
The SAT is held at College Board-authorised test centres, including international schools and selected education institutes. Availability changes by date, so confirm the live centre list while registering.
Register well before the deadline because preferred test centres can fill. College Board deadlines expire at 11:59 p.m. U.S. Eastern Time, not at Singapore midnight.
NUS and NTU do not publish one universal SAT requirement for every international applicant. Requirements depend on your school qualification and programme, so check the official qualification-specific admissions page.
