Text Structure and Purpose - You will be asked to either state the main purpose of the text or the function of an underlined text in a passage. Do not mix up the questions about the main idea and the questions about the purpose. Purpose questions inquire about the text's purpose, whereas main idea questions inquire about the text's main theme or idea. Recognising an underlined text's function entails determining the text's role in the passage.
Cross-Text Relationships - You will then be asked how the author of Text 1 will respond to the author of Text 2.
Expression of Ideas - In Expression of Ideas, you will use your revision skills to improve the effectiveness of a written text or passage. In this domain, two skills/knowledge are tested.
