The GMAT exam 2022 has been reduced in length by 30 minutes by the Graduate Management Admission Council since April 16, 2018. The exam now lasts for three hours and thirty minutes, including breaks and test instructions. The Quantitative and Verbal Reasoning parts were cut by 13 and 10 minutes, respectively. The score preview, the integrative reasoning and analytic writing assessment, and the alternative break period did not change. The GMAC has eliminated only the unscored items, so these changes do not affect scoring in the shorter Verbal Interpretation and Quantitative portions. A component of the GMAT gives applicants the freedom to personalize their GMAT journey by selecting the sectional sequence in which they feel most at ease taking the test. According to GMAC, a GMAT score is used in nine out of ten new enrollments.
