Strategies for GMAT Online Exam PreparationRegardless of your format, your studies will be almost the same for the GMAT online and in a testing facility because they are the same test. To offer yourself the most freedom, don't initially think you will take it either way; instead, be ready to take it anyway.
Be prepared to invest the same amount of time in GMAT preparation regardless of the test format. Over three to six months, students who aim for a highly competitive score (680+) or an exceptionally high score increase (250+ points) usually put in an average of 100 to 200 hours.
You will occasionally take practice exams as you get ready for the examination. Try to replicate the official examination settings as closely as you can when taking a practice exam. Scratched paper is the only thing that separates the two formats. Both an on-screen and a physical whiteboard, which you must purchase yourself, are available to you for the GMAT Online. Because the actual whiteboard is only 12 by 20 inches or 30 by 50 centimeters in size, you will have to erase it as you go through the test.
There won't be an on-screen whiteboard for the GMAT in the test center, but there will be a booklet with five legal-sized, laminated pages of paper, which is sufficient space to finish one portion of the exam. Once you've filled it up, you can replace your booklet with a fresh one. (Ideally, you should do this during the breaks to avoid interfering with any of your test portions.)

Based on your performance during the test, the GMAT selects which issues to present to you. Fundamentally, the GMAT is an assessment of your ability to use executive thinking.

You can use your own physical whiteboard in addition to the onscreen one if you take the GMAT online. Practice using the onscreen whiteboard before the test day to ensure you understand how to utilize each tool precisely. Perform Practice Exams
To obtain a precise assessment of your present score, take GMAT practice exams in authentic testing environments. Pay close attention to the workspace, device, timing, whiteboards, and breaks.
