The ESAT is a computer-based test made up of three subtests, each 27 multiple-choice questions in 40 minutes. Mathematics 1 is compulsory, and the student selects two more from Mathematics 2, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. No calculator is permitted. It runs in October and January, and may be sat only once per admissions cycle.
