Why BITSAT Feels Harder Than JEE for Students
Speed matters more- 130 Questions in 180 minutes = ~83 seconds per question
No sectional time limits. Poor time management kills scores
Negative marking- Overconfidence leads to score drops.
Cannot revisit questions- One-way navigation increases pressure.
Bonus questions. Students- Attempt them unprepared.
How to Overcome These with Masterclass Space?
Use topic-wise tests to target each difficult area individually.
Practice timed mini-tests to build speed on topics.
Analyze error patterns from reports.
Focus on high-frequency difficult topics that appear every year.
Build a question skipping strategy for topics you find hardest.
Golden Rule
"Don't avoid topics. Allocate more mock time to them. One topic mastered = 10–15 extra marks easily."
Consistent daily practice, on these topics, using quality test series, is what transforms a 330 scorer into a 390+ scorer!

HOW BITSAT EXAM IS DIFFERENT FROM VITEEE?
BITSAT vs VITEEE. What Are The Main Differences
1. Who Conducts The Exam
BITSAT is conducted by BITS Pilani for admissions to its campuses in Pilani, Goa, and Hyderabad. VITEEE is conducted by VIT University for its campuses in Vellore, Chennai, Bhopal, and Amaravati.
2. How The Exam Is? How Long Does It Take
Both BITSAT and VITEEE are computer-based tests. However, BITSAT is a 3-hour exam with 160 questions. On the other hand, VITEEE has 125 questions, and it takes 2.5 hours to complete.
3. What Subjects Are Covered In the Exam
BITSAT covers a lot of subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Maths, Biology, English Proficiency, and Logical Reasoning. The English and Logical Reasoning sections are in BITSAT and not in VITEEE. VITEEE covers Physics, Chemistry, Maths or Biology, English, and Aptitude. The aptitude section in VITEEE is not very hard.
4. How Hard Is the Exam
BITSAT is generally considered harder. You need to be fast and accurate to do well in BITSAT because the questions are of all levels. VITEEE is easier compared to BITSAT. The questions in VITEEE are similar to what you learn in school.
5. How Marks Are Given
In BITSAT, you get 3 marks for every answer, and you lose 1 mark for every wrong answer. There is also a bonus system in BITSAT. If you answer all 160 questions, you get 12 questions to increase your score. In VITEEE, you do not lose marks for answers.
6. What Happens If You Want To Change An Answer
In BITSAT, you cannot go back. Change an answer once you move to the next question. So you have to manage your time well. In VITEEE, you can. Change your answers during the exam.
7. What Happens After You Get Your Score
In BITSAT, admission is based on your score. You need a high score to get into the top branches at Pilani. In VITEEE, they make a list of students based on their scores, and even students with low scores can get into good branches at VIT.
8. Which College Is Better
BITS Pilani is considered one of the colleges in India. It is similar to the Indian Institutes of Technology in terms of reputation and placements. VIT is also a college, especially for industry connections and international exposure. It is generally ranked below BITS Pilani.
9. When The Exam Is Held
BITSAT is held a year in May. You can take the exam in slots. VITEEE is also held in April and May in phases. This gives you options to choose a slot that suits you.
The Main Point Is: If you want to take the exam, you should be ready for a really fast-paced test where your English skills and reasoning skills are also very important. The VITEEE exam is a bit easier, but it is still very competitive. A lot of students take both the exam and the VITEEE exam because they happen at the same time, and the subjects you need to study are similar.
