Our Leadership
Founder & Chief Executive Officer, Masterclass Space

Aditya Shanker Raghuwanshi belongs to a rare category of educators – an engineer by training, a classical musician by calling, and an entrepreneur by conviction. He graduated from BITS Pilani, Pilani Campus, with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master’s degree in Physics, and has since built a career that refuses to sit within a single discipline.
Offered several lucrative corporate roles at the close of his degree, Aditya chose instead to work with an education-sector NGO in central India – a decision that shaped everything that followed. Living and working alongside students in under-served districts gave him a first-hand understanding of how uneven access to good teaching truly is in India, and how much of a young person’s future is decided by the quality of guidance they happen to receive. He later worked as a Mechanical Engineer with an oil and gas design firm across India and the United States before returning, permanently, to the classroom. In New Delhi, he taught Physics at one of the country’s leading IIT-JEE institutes, where he earned a reputation for teaching the subject as a way of thinking rather than a syllabus to be finished.
In 2017, Aditya co-founded Masterclass Space, working after office hours and through weekends with a single conviction: that world-class admissions guidance should be built on genuine subject mastery, not sales. What began with rejected pitches to schools across India has become an international practice with two companies in India and Singapore, serving students from six continents and more than 25 countries. Under his leadership, students mentored at Masterclass Space have gone on to Cornell, Brown, the University of Pennsylvania, LSE, NUS, NTU and other institutions among the world’s top 100.
He remains, by choice, a teacher first – personally teaching Mathematics and Physics, and known among his students for pushing them to protect their passions and extracurricular lives rather than sacrifice them to an application.
Aditya’s technical work began in robotics during his years at BITS Pilani. In 2011, he represented India for the first time at the Rescue Robot League at RoboCup in Istanbul, Turkey. The same year, his rescue robotics project Shaurya – designed for a rescue initiative of the Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO) – won the Intel India Embedded Challenge, selected from over 2,000 innovators nationwide.
Aditya Shanker Raghuwanshi is a professional Indian classical musician whose work has taken him from India’s most respected cultural institutions to international stages. He is also Director of the Art Space (Global) Foundation, a not-for-profit he founded in 2023 to promote the performing arts through corporate engagement, launched at IIT Delhi.
His international work includes a 2026 tour of Russia’s Pskov region, and earlier invitations as the only Indian selected to perform at the Tavrida National Youth Forum in Crimea (2018) and as a Youth Cultural Ambassador of India to the World Festival of Youth & Students in Sochi (2017), where he performed at a regional opening ceremony in Siberia.
In India, he has presented concerts at the India International Centre, New Delhi, Bangalore International Centre, Delhi International Arts Festival among the few most prestigious platforms he has formed.
As a composer, he served as Music Director for Zee Music Company, directing a classical fusion of the Saraswati Aarti released across 150+ platforms, and wrote and composed the Shambhavi Song for the Isha Foundation, later featured by The Times of India.
Aditya is invited by leading institutions across India and abroad to speak on career clarity, study-abroad opportunities and music.
He has delivered a TEDx talk, a workshop at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, a talk at IIT Kanpur, IIT Delhi and BITS-Pilani.
He also mentored young entrepreneurs on Jagriti Yatra in 2022, the world’s biggest entrepreneurship train journey – a 15-day, 8,000 km circumnavigation of India carrying 500 change-makers.
